Dear Tampa Neighbor:
My name is Deborah Cope and I am running for the Florida House of Representatives in District 57.
Im running because we need a change of representation in the Florida State House. We need a strong voice in Tallahassee who will fight for the issues that are important to the citizens of Hillsborough County.
For too long, our voice has been muted in Tallahassee, drowned out by the needs of special interests. It is time that the people's interests came first. Our state legislature is not getting the job done and we need strong leadership that will work to find real solutions to the problems we face.
I will work hard on the issues that the people in this district care about.I will fight for a better public education system, and for more affordable healthcare and homeowners insurance.I will work to improve our economy and bring better jobs to our state. And I will work to improve our quality of life by finding solutions to our transportation and growth management problems, and I will protect our environment.
I have been a leading voice in our community on many of these issues and I know what needs to be done to address these problems. In addition, I have 20 years of business and consulting experience, much of it spent in the public sector, working with state and local governments. As State Representative, I will use my experience to represent the citizens of Hillsborough County the way they deserve to be represented.
I hope you will take the time to learn more about my campaign and how you can help bring change to Tallahassee.Together, we can make a difference.
